1. Amsterdam Canal District

It’s just wrong to travel to the Netherlands and not visit the canals that are not only an icon of
Amsterdam, but also one of Europe’s best attractions. The Canal District is a famous 17th
century district that has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Most of

As the name suggests, this museum is dedicated to the Netherlands' beloved cartoon bunny,
Miffy. Located in Utrecht, the rooms at Miffy Museum are dedicated to different subjects, each
with a miniature version of Miffy’s happy little world that is created specifically for young children
to expand their imagination. The museum also houses a large collection of other items
associated with Miffy’s creator, Dick Bruna.

3. Van Gogh Museum

People from all over the world travel to visit this museum dedicated to the most celebrated
Dutch artist, Vincent Van Gogh, and you’d not want to miss making a trip as well. The Van Gogh
Museum possesses the largest collection of Van Gogh paintings, including some of his best
works like Sunflowers and The Potato Eaters. The museum also features notable works by his
contemporaries from all around Europe like Claude Monet, Paul Gauguin and Auguste Rodin.

xperience the Netherlands from a whole new perspective at Madurodam, where everything

comes in a fun size. Madurodam is a miniature park in The Hague which was opened in 1952.
Everything has been built at a scale of 1:25, including a collection of Dutch landmarks like
Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and tulip fields. It feels like you’ve traveled all
around the country!

5. Keukenhof Gardens

Another iconic Dutch icon, millions of colorful tulips burst in full bloom at the Keukenhof
Gardens when spring rolls around. It’s one of Europe’s most majestic sights you that absolutely
can’t miss especially if the flowers are in season when you’re traveling there. Since the gardens
were built in the 19th, tulip fields have become a staple of Dutch springtime. It’s definitely worth
the trip.

6. Zaanse Schans

This charming little European neighborhood in Zaandam should be in everyone’s list when
they make a trip the Dutchland. Zaanse Schans makes you feel like you’ve stepped into Holland
in the 17th and 18th centuries with historic windmills and distinctive traditional greenhouses
overlooking a serene lake. A number of museums and factories can be found here as well,
including traditional Dutch clogs museum, and a chocolate factory.
